The Vatican, what a strange place... it is the smallest "country" on earth, with a male-only population made up of priests and clerks, and the pope himself.... and as small as it is, and as insignificant as it may look to many... this place is sacred for over a billion people. It is a place where millions of people visit yearly drawn together by their faith. While I was there, it came as a surprise that the Pope Benedcit XVI was in the outside patio... :D I love unexpected moments like this, It was pure luck... If you ever visit the Vatican, do not miss its museum and Sistine Chapel. They are in possession of such important pieces of art from the Renaissance period, and although Im not the biggest fan of the Church it really is impressive to see their collections. Also, i apologize for taking a picture of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling... I couldn't help it :) enjoy... kitty on a bike |
